I have said it once if I've said it a million times on this blog, i am so lucky to have such talented friends.
I have had so much help in producing my album, maintaining my internet prescense, and live shows, because I am surrounded by such amazing friends.
one of those friends, who has been so magical and helpful along the way is ica. of ica images.
This past weekend, I was at Bailey's wedding in Atlantic City, where Ica was the wedding photographer ( after Bailey had seen ica's work on my album cover).... and i got very lucky.
we had a free afternoon... and ica had her camera equipment..... and one thing led to another wonderful thing.
we stumbled into Salvation Army, found this vintage dress for $3.... found a grass field and BAM. Zoolander time.
The suitcase as well.... Salvation Army. We love you AC thrifting.
2 Weeks ago, I went to a wedding for my friends Joan and Terrence. Joan is the older sister of Ica, who takes all of my photos ( see above :) she also took the amazing photos in this video, I hope you enjoy.
Myself, Kierninan Mcmullan and Terrence Cunningham jamming out un-rehearsed at BloomBars Sunday!
What I love about Bloombars is the energy. it sounds corny. But everyone who graces that stage is filled with such beautiful talent it is truely overwheming. It is a tradition on Bloom sundays as well that everyone who is an artist gets on stage together and plays a song none of them have ever played together and just let it flow, and i can tell you that is one of the more terrifying expieriences but somehow it always turns out perfectly. In a way you couldnt have possibly rehearsed to be better.
On this particular Sunday, Keirnan Mcmullen, a singer from Ireland was blowing our minds. I have never been more in awe of a live performance, Terrence and I ( whom I am always constantly in awe of) looked at each other a few times through the night and almost laughed, in some ways it was just crazy to see talent like that.
Kiernan uses a loop and by the end of some songs it sounds like a whole orchestra is on stage, it's incredible.
Enjoy this little song. AND as always, check out Bloombars on sundays
I am moving....ACROSS COUNTRY! from DC to LA in about 7 weeks. I just got an apartment in Marina Del Rey, and I am SO excited to take that huge step in my career!
On a side note - I played a surprise show at Bloombars last sunday- and intend on booking a full gig there for sometime this month, I have quite the story to tell about that though so keep posted on here...
final thought: did you know i do photography? I love it the same way i love music, so i started a photogrpahy blog where you can stay updated with the shoots I am doing!
